He was, until early April 2006, Head of the Trusts & Estates Department at national firm Halliwells LLP.
Geoffrey is President of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and is Consulting Editor of the Trust and Estates Law and Tax Journal, a Member of the Editorial Board of Wills and Trusts Law Reports and Tottel’s Trust Law International.
Geoffrey holds a first class honours degree from Cambridge and qualified as a Solicitor in 1969. He was awarded the O.B.E. in the Queens Birthday Honours List in 2007 for services to the administration of justice.
